that hide actual meaning and fog reality. Lucy Kellaway, in her July 2017 Financial Times article, provides a hilarious sequel to Orwell that documents the fouling up of language, this time by business with its ‘guff’ – a mix of opaque jargon, loads of rubbish and ugly phrases meant to obfuscate.
